Written for and read at Christmas Service, Science of Mind (Center for Spiritual Living, CSL) in Medford, OR WE ARE THE SUN COMING OUT I AM THE ONE HEART. YOU ARE THE ONE HEART. AND TO ITS FREEDOM DO I NOW SPEAK. The Christ came to me, not dressed in a jeweled gown of white, floating on a cloud, but as a whisper in my heart. Christ-consciousness kissed the Sleeping Beauty within my soul, whispering: “Come, beloved child, although my birth as the Jesus is celebrated this season, it is YOUR birthing that brings me deepest joy.” Awakened by the Christ of Ages, the sweet Spirit of joy and illumination, I realized that I, too, AM the Christ. I made decisions that moved me toward the light. I understood, my mission was to BE the LIGHT… whose true name is: unceasing love. Whose true name is: unceasing love. There was a butterfly that wished only for a moment to return to being the chrysalis in the cocoon, for the winds of transformation can be fierce. Spread your still moistened wings, my friends, that the sun may dry them. Fly! Fly! Truly belong to God. Truly be free. Let your presence light your own path now, and the paths of others. For you are the light, the sparkling beacon on the hill, and the grace of God pours through you. Allow the glow of your being, of God’s illuminated heart, to shine out to the world. MORE THAN A TEMPLE FULL OF GOD’S LIGHT AND LOVE, MORE THAN A BEACON SHINING STEADILY TO OFFER GUIDANCE AND COMFORT, I AM THE SUN COMING OUT. I AM THE SUN COMING OUT. AND SO ARE YOU. Yes, you are the light of the world! Remove your shadows of doubt, uncover, uncover. I’d say burst forth, it’s now or never, but you’ve been going on forever and ever. Quit being the seeker and be the sought. Quit being the seeker and be the sought. My cocoon is cracking open, it will not hold me anymore; I’m way too pregnant with possibilities. I’m walking into the sunrise from this day forward. There is no turning around, it’s all chaff and salt back there. I’m walking into the future and I’m holding hands with all of you! You are now walking into the sunrise…and from this point…you’ll walk into the sunrise the rest of your lives… Why We Are One It is a gift words of “thanks” can never repay, for this heart beating under my breastplate. It has witnessed the rising and falling of civilizations… and yet… it chooses to rise and fall inside of me. Sometimes, I feel its gentle rhythmic quivering when I am ever so still…this borrowing… this treasure… this life flow. That I’m a player in this field of love’s emission is no doubt. The beat in my body is the same frequency as the beat in yours and the beat in the universe. This field of grace has only a single purpose… to exist. I ride the wave of One Heart gently, carefully, with deep respect and great honor… until I fall off. When gone, someday you will know who I was, because the same heart keeps pulse in your body. This purpose goes on and on in a passionate mission of love propelling itself outward in seeds of life. Accept the blessing of knowing that magic is real. The only illusion… is separateness. |
