For May!

Spring has finally arrived!  She reminds us to put away our winter coats, clean out the closets and throw away the old and unwanted, and to fall in love with butterflies again.  But spring also symbolizes the renewal going on, more and more, every day in our lives.

ETERNAL SPRING IS DYING TO LIVE

Spring celebrates LIFE.
This consists of manifesting AND dissolving,
Birth AND death.
For she climbs forth in her best shimmering iridescent emerald-green gown
Only from the most richly decaying earth.

In spring,
Every day we die a little.
Sloughing off our old selves,
The way we wash and scrub dead skin cells down the drain.
Our sparkling selves are waiting just below the surface!

The little self is dying as life bursts forth,
Like the discarded husk of a seed,
So the BIG SELF can freely emerge.
The old self is falling away,
The new Self rises from its death.
If you choose to wade into this evolutionary flow,
It will feel natural and safe.

Dive in!
You will resurface downriver,
Clean and refreshed,
Authentic and pristine.

You must die in order to live. You must lose yourself in order to find your Self.

The idea of your little self dissolving may frighten you.  Your self is what you’ve worked a lifetime to create and mold.  You grasp onto it with both hands and continue nourishing and building it, erecting it like a tower of Legos, and put a sign on the top: “This is ME!”  But holding onto the surface you with both hands… chokes who is really deep inside.  It is time to give your bigger, deeper Self its freedom!

There is a new lightness of being when you let the old self lay in the tomb, and YOU rise.
Love and joy walk beside you through the gardens; people you knew may not recognize you.
For you have stepped onto the platform of your eternal life.
